SYDNEY DRAGWAY MODIFIED TRACK CHAMPION 2014
 
Team GTC Racing took out a 9 Round Track Championship Series at Sydney Dragway in 2014. Three events were lost due to bad weather. Round 1 we earned 80 points before the rain came. In Round 2 we earned 60 points before the rain came, which had us and Peter Brown leading the Series on 140 points.
Round 3 saw us take maximum points (100) defeating a red lighting Peter Brown. Round 4 saw us defeat Craig Davies in the Final eaning another 100 points. Giving Team GTC a 60 points lead over second place Peter Brown.
Round 5 saw is in our 3rd Final in a row defeating Jenny Petrie.  With that win it stretched our lead out to 110 points.
We didn't attend Round 6 as I was in hospital having surgery on my foot, Round 6 was effected by rain and was not completed, out lead was reduced by 10 points leaving us leading the Championship Series by 100 points.
Round 7 and 8 saw us make both Finals being Runner Up in both events. That gave us an 80 point lead going into the final round of the Championship. We only needed to contest the first round of eliminations at the final event to take out the Series. We got through the first round twice after a re-run and got knocked out in the 1/4 finals.
 
Chassis built by Jim Denaro (DENARO CHASSIS) back in 2007. The chassis was built to SFI 2.5B specifications. While the chassis is fully slip jointed both at the front and rear, adjustments can be easily made to suit different types of track conditions.
 
  GTC Racing was formed in July 2012 by Geoff Wright - Tim Nielsen and Cassandra Richardson, the team was formed after a 10 year break with Team owner Geoff Wright (Allwright Racing). Geoff had his own operation since Sydney Dragway opened back in 2004. Back in 2011 Geoff was looking for a driver for his team (Allwright Racing), Tim was asked to take over the driving duties as Tim was having a break from Competition Racing. This gave Tim the enthusiasm to continue with the sport in which he loved.
 
With the fire back in the belly, Geoff, Tim and Cassandra had decided to pull the engine out of Geoff's Rear Engine Dragster and transplant it into the Chromoly Chassis of Tim and Cassandra's dragster.
This is part 2 of the partnership as Tim and Geoff were once a Team before Geoff had put his Team together back in 2004. The foundation had already been tested and proven and it was a win - win situation for all concerned.
Master of all traded Rod Perkins automatically came with the transplant. Rod has many years of experience in preparing a dragster on and off the track.
Bracket racing is a game of mistakes. Rule is the one who makes the least mistakes will always win. Having all the equipment doesn't mean you are going to win, you must know how to use it. Cassandra put her hand up to take over the roll of doing all the data and weather stats, with her job of putting a Dial In on the dragster. Cassandra knows more about the weather station and track conditions than I do, she looks at the numbers and puts the right dial in on the dragster. I gave her one word of advise, Put a number on the dragster in which I will not break out.
We have got a new Team member for the 2014 season in Cassandra's eldest daughter Bryanna, she is our back up girl and she is doing a fantastic job. It helps that she probably distracts my oponent in the other lane.
